        Dear all,
Where can I find the source code where the solar azymunth angle calculation is done? I'm trying to find out the way SAM calculates this angle, but I can't find the piece of code.
Thank you!
Enric

        Dear Enric,
The source code for some parts of SAM is available in the exelib\trnsys\source folder of your SAM installation folder.
Are you looking for the equations for a particular model in SAM (photovoltaic, parabolic trough, etc.)?
Best regards,
Paul.

        Dear Paul,
Yes I'm looking for the particular equations for parabolic trough model. What I need is the equations used by SAM in the solar azymuth angle calculation when conduction an empirical parabolic trough simulation.
Thanks!
Enric

        Dear Enric,
The TRNSYS source code files (in FORTRAN) for the CSP models are in the \exelib\trnsys\source folder of your SAM installation folder, which in Windows is C:\SAM\2013.1.15 by default.
The solar angle calculations are in the sam_GetIncidentRadiation.for file.
Best regards,
Paul.
