Influence of tandem cell type on detailed PV model results was created by mboruah
Hello,
I have a detailed PV model simulation on SAM for which the module type is unavailable in the database and therefore has been manually entered. The cell type for this module is a tandem cell of amorphous and microcrystalline silicon. What would you recommend entering in the "cell type" field in SAM? And how would it influence the results?
Thank you!

Hi Muktaparna,
The "Cell type" input for the CEC Performance Model with User Entered Specifications only affects the initial guess values for the mathematical solver that calculates CEC model parameters from the datasheet parameters. You can choose any value for the cell type. If the solver fails, you can try a different value for cell type.
Best regards,
Paul.
