Filling missing data in own weather file was created by mboruah
Hello,
I have 15-minute measured data (POA, ambient temperature, cell temperature and wind speed) from an installed PV plant using which I intend to create a SAM CSV weather file. However, some of the measured data is missing (77 of 35,040 rows) - these values are marked as NaN. How does SAM react to such values? And if the missing data needs to be filled in, what is the best way to do so?
Thank you!

Hi Muktaparna,
SAM requires that all rows have valid data. If your file has some missing data for a few rows you will need to fill or replace it with valid values. SAM does not come with tools to fill missing data.
I don't have any recommendations for the best way to fill missing data, but copy values from neighboring days, or doing some sort of interpolation are two options.
Best regards,
Paul.
