What I understood is that the reflection losses will be calculated automatically by SAM depending on factors like tilt, type of module and reference, location, weather, etc.
How can I see a change in the reflection losses maintaining the module selected, weather, and tilt? Is there any other variable?
SAM's Detailed Photovoltaic model reports the "Reflection (IAM)" loss in the results, which you can see on the Losses tab of the results page, and also as a number on the Data Tables tables tab.
For the 2 MW / 2 hours BESS and PV of 1.56 MW, I'm not able to get the BESS to discharge.
It's showing 100% roundtrip efficiency and in the cash flow tables it doesn't show that it discharges, as well as in the graphs.
It only shows discharge if I use the manual discharge.
The battery in the "Nexans PV + BESS Manual" case does not dispatch with the Automated Dispatch option because of the cycle degradation penalty on the Battery Dispatch page, which is relatively high at $0.1/cycle-kWh. If you change the cycle degradation penalty option from "Enter penalty" to "Calculate automatically", you will see in the results that SAM calculates a maximum penalty of about $0.009/cycle-kWh. I tried the "Enter penalty" option with a value of $0.01/cycle-kWh, and the battery did dispatch.
