Yearly Incentive Based on Consumption was created by veysel.unsur
Hello,
I am working on a residential PV+ system on SAM. Since the system is with the battery and there's no grid connection anymore I want to add the electricity bills that we no longer pay as an incentive. However, this incentive must be based on the consumption rather that production. And also this incentive should be distributed throughout the analysis period (like 25 years).
In the incentive page of the SAM there's only production based incentives. Is there a way to do what I am trying to do? Maybe in the investment based incentive section, there might be a solution had it been allowing us to input values on a schedule rather than single values?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Veysel Unsur,
You might be able to model this situation using the energy charge table on the Electricity Rates page. Change the metering and billing option to net billing, and then set the buy rate to zero, and the sell rate to the value of the incentive.
See "Metering and Billing Definitions" in the Electricity Rates topic of SAM's Help system for a description of the net billing and other options:
samrepo.nrelcloud.org/help/electricity_rates.htm
Best regards,
Paul.
