Hi,
I was observed that wind financial models doesn`t have land area and land cost either explicitly as input data. Why? ¿Is these cost implicit into some parameter (for example, Balance of system cos)?

Hi Ivan,
SAM's wind model does not have an explicit cost category for the cost of purchasing or leasing land, so you should include this cost either in the capital cost (turbine or BOS) or operating cost.
The reference for SAM's default wind costs is Stehly, T.; Duffy, P. (2020) "2020 Cost of Wind Energy Review." National Renewable Energy Laboratory, NREL/TP-5000-81209. ( PDF 2.4 MB )
