DSG using parabolic through collectors was created by David Acosta
Hi,
I need to know if it is possible to use the available SIPH models in SAM to simulate parabolic through systems or if the steam generation is limited to Fresnel collectors. If the parameters in the Collector and Receiver tab make the difference I would appreciate it if you could explain those differences to me.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
David Acosta

Thanks Paul, but I wanted to understand if in the Parabolic through - Heat model is possible to simulate direct steam generation, considering the HTF properties.

Hi David,
The IPH - Trough model assumes an HTF of salt, oil, or pressurized water. It does not model direct steam applications.
Best regards,
Paul.
