Hi,
I'm working on a CSP simulation and when I run simulation next errors appears:

compute fail(tcsmolten_salt): User-vector cant method is not fully implemented (imagePlaneIntercept()).
Simulation tcsmolten_salt failed :compute fail(tcsmolten_salt): User-vector cant method is not fully implemented (imagePlaneIntercept()).
gen not assigned
Simulation grid failed :gen not assigned
SSC requires input 'gen', but was not found in the SAM UI or from previous simulations
Simulation utilityrate5 failed :precheck input: variable 'gen' (System power generated) required but not assigned
SSC requires input 'gen', but was not found in the SAM UI or from previous simulations
Simulation singleowner failed :precheck input: variable 'gen' (Net power to or from the grid) required but not assigned

How I could can fix it?

Hi Sergio,

In my tests, I get the same error when I choose the Winter Solstice option for the heliostat canting method on the Heliostat Field page. You can avoid the issue by choosing a different canting method.

I will let the model developers know about this issue.

Hi Sergio,

This issue has been fixed internally, and will be available in the Fall 2022 release of SAM.

Hi Paul,

I'm working on a Photovoltaic PV Model, and after the last actualization I have the same problem described by Sergio. I've updated the code following the link you posted ( github.com/NREL/SAM/issues/1071 ) but it still does not work.

Where could the problem be?

Hi Albino,

GitHub issue 1071 applies to the Molten Salt Power Tower model. It does not affect the Detailed PV model.

What specific error message are you seeing?
