Oriented system layout for detailled PV was created by feugenie
Hi Paul,
I am looking for an orientation option in the detailled PV model, if it exist.
Here my problem :
I can arrange modules facing south, on a land facing south :
__ __ __ __
__ __ __ __
__ __ __ __
__ __ __ __
__ __ __ __
I can arrange modules facing E SE (for example), on a land facing E SE :
/ / / /
/ / / /
/ / / /
/ / / /
But i can not find a way to arrange modules to face S on land facing SE :
__
__ __
__ __ __
__ __
__
I hope that I managed to explain myself. Is there such an option in SAM ?
Thanks for your time Paul,
Best regards,

HI feugenie,
SAM does not model complex layouts. It assumes that the modules in each subarray are arranged in a rectangle.
Best regards,
Paul.

Hi paul,
Thanks for you answer. Then I suppose that a good way to approach the real layout is to estimate an equivalent surface for this rectangle. Knowing that there will be loss of surface as the modules are not oriented towards the same direction as the available land.
Best regards,
Florian
