Battery Life/Degradation

Hi,

I was curious to know if the data/calculation method used in SAM for Battery Life are the same than the ones used in the BLAST tool from NREL?

If not, do you know what are the differences between each tool? And would you know how to get access to the BLAST-S version of the tool?

Hi Nicolas,

SAM's battery life model for Li-ion NMC/Gr batteries is based on the same model as the one used in BLAST. That model is described in Smith, K.; Saxon, A.; Keyser, M.; Lundstrom, B.; Cao, Z.; Roc, A. (2017). Life Prediction Model for Grid-connected Li-ion Battery Energy
