SOC different from expected value was created by Francesco
Hi everyone,

I’m dealing with a "Generic-Battery, Single owner" casewhose nominal LFP battery capacity is 6021kWh (DC), which corresponds to 4480 Ah
(DC) because the nominal bank voltage is 1344V, and when the simulation shows 95% of
SOC the “Battery total charge (Ah)” shown at the beginning of life (hence
without any degradation occurring)  is 4130.72Ah rather than
95%*4480=4256Ah. Is there any reason for such discrepancy?

Here is a screenshot of that:

Many thanks
Best
Fran

Hi Francesco,

This effect is cause by the thermal properties of the Li-ion/LFP battery, which you can see under "Battery Thermal" on the Battery Cell and System page:

The battery environment temperature is set to 25 degrees C, so the battery capacity is between 96.6667% and 101% of nameplate.

In the time series results, you can show the Battery capacity percent for temperature variable to see that effect in the results:

Best regards,
Paul.
