Hello,
I want to simulate a solar powerplant with parabolic trough collectors and a storage system
in which the power cycle is prioritized to work with the design HTF mass flow. If the insolation is not enough
to reach the design flow rate in the SSG, the heat should be stored in the
storage system until the design flow rate in the SSG could be guaranteed. To
model this strategy with SAM I have tried to change the value of "minimum
turbine operation" to a value close to one but I get errors when I run the
simulation. I think I should modify the "Dispatch Optimization" and
"Dispatch Control" parameters, but I don't know how to do it.

Hi Antonio,
The flow chart in the "System Control" Help topic shows how the dispatch optimization works. It makes decisions based on the turbine output fraction rather than directly from the HTF mass flow rate.
