Substituting Pumped Storage for A Battery

Good morning and thank you and your team for what you do.
We are wondering, how we might approach the battery storage module for a Pumped Storage functioning as a battery. We have a 184 MW Ternary Pumped Storage and 470 MWAC solar.
We have the detailed technical data for the pumped storage unit and seek to use it to determine the charge from solar leveraging the weather data.
We would appreciate your thoughts.

Hi Adam,

With some creativity, you should be able to at least approximately represent different types of storage systems using SAM's battery model.

I don't have specific recommendations of how to do that for pumped storage, but perhaps someone else has tried and can give some advice.
