X-axis variable in scatter chart was created by Anton Driesse
Another dumb user question: how do I assign a variable to the x-axis in a scatter chart?

Hi Anton,
The graph tool on the Graphs tab of SAM's Results page is rudimentary at best. The Scatter option is the same as the Line option, except that it plots a series of point for each variable value instead of a line with time on the x-axis.
I would recommend creating tables of data on the Data Tables tab, and exporting the data to CSV (or Excel if you are on a Windows computer) to create graphs in a spreadsheet program or other plotting software.
Best regards,
Paul.

That's understandable. Perhaps you can change "Scatter" to "Point" or "Marker" to avoid confusion with the usual meaning of scatter chart.
