Sam file format was created by cj
Good Morning,
Two questions:
1.I can’t open Sam file on desktop…I try to open in pdf format, but get the message that it can’t be opened because it is not a
supported file type..is there a format that I can open the sam file in
outside of the software program? I'd like to send
the file to my partner.
2. The assumed size of electric bill is much larger than actuality….what could be causing that?
Thank You,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,
1. SAM saves and opens .sam files. Those files can only be opened by SAM, so if you want to share them with your colleagues, they will need to install SAM.
2. SAM's electricity bill calculator uses load data, electricity rate data, and system's electricity output to calculate the monthly bill. A higher than expected monthly bill could be caused by load data higher than the actual load, higher electricity rates than actual, or lower system output than actual. Or, it could indicate that the electricity rate structure and excess generation compensation options you are modeling are different from the actual rates and compensation.
Best regards,
Paul.
