Hi Paul,
I made a simulation in SAM 2020.11.29, i found a strange thing when i checked the output, as you can see from the below screenshot, the collector was defocused when the storage capacity haven't reached the limit. i have attached the simulation file for your reference, can you check it?

Hi Joey,
The field defocusing calculations respond to the storage fluid temperature rather than the state of charge. You can see that by plotting the TES hot temperature and field time-averaged outlet temperature variables.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your quick response, i have checked the Field timestep-averaged inlet temperature and TES hot temperature on 12:00 30/6/2021 , both haven't reach the upper temperature limit, and also the Field total mass flow delivered hasen't reach the upper limit of mass flow rate definded in the solar filed input window.
