Advanced NSRDB is generating files in UTC was created by paoman
Hi, I saw that SAM performed a fix for the weather data download to take the local time into account. I downloaded several files that have the title "full_disc" from the base and they are in UTC time.
I tried to change only the timezone in the csv file, but it doesn't work, it even changes the energy generation. I believe this parameter should not correct this.
For now, I'm adding a "shift" of -3 to my collected results.
Is there any way to fix this easily when downloading? How to set UTC to false as it speaks in correction?

Hi Pao,
SAM's Advanced Download feature does not set the UTC parameter for this dataset to "no", so it gets downloaded with the incorrect time stamps.
You can download the data directly from the NSRDB viewer and check the Convert UTC to local time option to get the data with the correct time stamps for SAM:
nsrdb.nrel.gov
Best regards,
Paul.
