Dear all;
Please can someone help with the meaning of these data:
- Battery average cycle DOD
- Battery cycle depth of discharge (%).
- Battery capacity percent for temperature
I have some values of Battery cycle depth of discharge which are not correlated with the battery state of charge value
see image below.
Thanks in advance for your comments
Ivan

Hello,

The "average cycle DOD" and "cycle depth of discharge" are related to calculations of the battery lifetime model, which is described in Section 2.3 of DiOrio (2015) Technoeconomic Modeling of Battery Energy Storage in SAM available here: sam.nrel.gov/battery-storage/battery-publications.html. These are not an indication of the battery's state of charge in a given time step, but rather an indication of the battery's health.

The "capacity percent for temperature" is from the thermal model described in Section 2.2.

The "state of charge" is the battery's capacity available to discharge in the given time step.

Best regards,
Paul.
