Please see the description of the solar water heating model in SAM's Help system and the references on the SAM website at sam.nrel.gov/solar-water-heating.html for information about the model.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for the response.

In SAM's solar water heating model it is required to key in the water flow rate through the collector, which means it is a forced system where the water/glycol is pushed through the collector for heat transport. Is there an option in SAM where the water flow rate through the collector is coupled to the heat received from the solar radiation?

No, there is not an option for that type of collector.
