DC Coupled Residential Battery Systems + 2 MPPT inverters was created by yashagarwala
Hi,
I'm trying to simulate a 17 panel 320Wp system on a 5 kVA inverter with 2 MPPTS coupled with a DC coupled LFP battery.
But, everytime I simulate it throws up an error saying that this cannot be done because the inverter has 2 MPPTs.
This seems weird to me because now I am unable to simulate any system above 10-12 panels.
Can you please help?
Kind Regards,
Yash Agarwala.

Hi Yash,
For now SAM cannot model a PV-battery system with DC-connected batteries with the multiple MPPT inverter option.
I have made a feature request here: github.com/NREL/SAM/issues/215
Best regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for requesting for the feature. I am new to this so I am just wondering how long such requests take to be completed?

Hi Yash,
This particular request is not part of our current work plan. We plan to release a new version later this fall. I would expect this feature to be in a subsequent version, assuming we are able to get support from our funding partners to implement it.
Best regards,
Paul.
