Utility Rates Australia was created by roconnell365
Hi, I am a final year mechanical engineering student investigating solar integration into the copper mining process. I am using the PVWatts model to explore the viability of solar integration of PV modules into a specific process for Australia and Chile. I was wondering if there was any information on Australian and Chilean Utility rates that are compatible with SAM. I have seen some articles on CSP installations using SAM for Australia but no mention of utility rates. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Ruairi,
You should be able to model utility rates from any country in SAM by entering data as appropriate on the Electricity Rates page for the Residential, Commercial, or Third Party financial models.
The OpenEI Utility Rate database stores data in the same format as SAM for the U.S. and Mexico.
Best regards,
Paul.
