Netcdf file for wind resources in SAM

Hello,

I want to use a wind speed NetCDF file from NCAR to see how the turbines react under that particular wind dataset. Is it possible to use the NCAR NetCDF file in SAM? I understand that it needs to be first converted to a .srw file? Is that correct?

SAM's wind power model requires hourly or subhourly resource data in a .srw file, which is a text file format described in SAM's Help system under Weather Data, Weather File Formats in the table of contents. That description describes SAM's data requirements so you can see if the NCAR data provides the required data.
