Battery results in the version was created by doulin@kth.se
Hi!
I just downloaded the new version of SAM 2020.2.29 and can't find the degradation of a installed battery in the "Time series". Before it was named "Battery capacity percent for lifetime" but I can't find it in the new version. Also, under "Data tables" in the results the "Battery bank replacement per year" is not correct (I think). I've set that my battery is going to be replaced when it has 80% of it's original capacity, maybe the results is based on how many times the battery is below 80% of it capacity in the "Battery state of charge" because now it tells me my replacement is 3334 times in a year...
Maybe I'm missing something, but until everything is clarified I'll use the old version!
Best regards, Douglas

Hi Douglas,
On the Time Series tab, the "Battery relative capacity to nameplate (%)" variable under "Lifetime Hourly Data" should be the variable you are looking for.
If you enable battery replacements and choose the "Replace at specified capacity," the battery will be replaced when its total capacity reaches that value, not when the state of charge does.
Could you attach a copy of the .sam file with the 3334 replacements per year so I can do some testing?
Best regards.
Paul.
