Rates for demand charges in the Dominican Rrepublic was created by Liquet
Hi,
In my country for residential and commercial building for peak demand up to 10 kW the demand charge is $0; however for peak demand beyond 10 kW the charge ($/kW) is calculated based on the average of the two months with the highest peak, then all sub-sequence months throughout that year will be charged with this fixed value. See file attached for illustration. Question, How may I setup this method in "Rates for demand charges" section?
Best Regards,
Carlos

Dear Carlos,
I think you could approximate this structure for demand charges as follows:
1. Run a simulation with no demand charges to identify the two months with the highest peak and calculate the average $/kW rate.
2. Enable demand charges, and set the tiered demand charge rate using the average value you calculated for $/kW.
3. Run a simulation with demand charge to calculate the electricity bill savings.
Best regards,
Paul.
