Orange Button integration with NREL SAM

Has there been any work or interest in integrating Orange Button with NREL SAM?

Hi there, thank you for your question. We work closely with many people involved in the Orange Button initiative and are definitely interested in making sure that SAM data can feed seamlessly into the standards. We do not have any current funding to create outputs directly in the standardized formats, but if you have a specific request that you can describe, we would be happy to propose the project idea.

I thought it might be nice to be able to export SAM projects in Orange Button format.  An API could then be used to post them to online market places or funding sources.

We can help with that part of it, setting up a receiving end for the API, if that would help get the project moving in that direction.
