Setting Image Error w.r.t. wind velocity was created by waldoctz
Hi All,
I am using SAM to simulate a Concentrated Solar Power, Power Tower case which is based on the sample file provided with SAM.
I would like to be able to change the “Image Error” of the heliostat field with respect to wind velocity. I therefore have a relation between Image Error and wind velocity and would like to adjust the image error in SAM accordingly instead of a single fixed velocity as the default.
It appears that this might be possible using the scripting functionality. Could anyone please confirm whether this is the case?
Thank you very much.

Hello,
The SamUL scripting language allows you to set the values of SAM inputs before running simulations, and read values of results after simulations. It does not allow you to interact with the simulation engine in the way that you describe.
We are working on an Application Programming Interface (API) that allows more flexibility. We are committed to developing the API and Software Development Kit (SDK) in 2013, but hope to have a preliminary version available this fall or winter.
Best regards,
Paul.

Thank you very much for your reply and your description of what the scripting language is capable of.
I look forward to your work on the API.
Kind Regards
