I am only seeing CEC inverters in the inverter list? Any suggestions about how to model for European projects? Am I missing something?

For now (SAM 2012.5.11), if you want to model an inverter that is not included in the CEC database, you can either choose one with similar properties, or use the simple efficiency inverter model.
We have plans to implement an inverter model similar to the module "CEC Performance Model with User Entered Specifications" that would allow you to model an inverter using data from a specifications sheet. That will be included in either the Fall 2012 or Spring 2013 version.
Best regards,
Paul.
