daily dispatch/production?? was created by sebastian
Hi,
Regarding the dispatch control mode , I would be very interested in knowing if SAM could work with daily dispatch control for a CSP trough model, and even if it´s possible to view the daily production of the plant.
And also if it´s possible to run a simulation of SAM without TES, due to the fact that I am simulating my project without any problem with 7,5hrs of TES, but SAM does not accept a value "0" for full load hours of TES.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Regards

SAM's CSP models with storage (parabolic trough, power tower, generic solar) dispatch storage energy based on the hourly dispatch control parameters that you specify on the Thermal Storage page. You can specify a different set of 24-hour dispatch profiles for each month of the year.
How would you define the daily dispatch control you describe?
The models report hourly plant production and other values, but not daily totals. You could export the hourly values to a spreadsheet program and calculate the 24-hour totals there.
You should be able to model a CSP system with no storage using a "Full load hours of TES" value of zero. What do you mean by "SAM does not accept a value of '0' for full load hours of TES?"
Best regards,
Paul.
