Rated Cycle Convertion Efficiency Vs Turbine Efficiency was created by sidom
Hi Paul,
SAM input data request Rated Cycle Convertion Efficiency. Turbine Manufacturers provide in their Heat Balance values for Turbine Efficiency (or Heat Rate). How can we relate one value into the other? What losses/parameter relate one to another?
How does SAM (Physical Model) consider conversion efficiencies at partial loads?
Thanks a lot.

Please see Chapter 3 The Power Cycle of the
physical trough reference manual
for a description of how the physical trough model represents the power cycle.
Best regards,
Paul.

Does SAM take into consideration efficiency losses in heat exchangers in "Rated cycle conversion efficiency" parameter? Is this parameter the efficiency of the whole power block?
Thanks and regards
