Unexpected losses in simulation was created by shanek123
Hi,
New to using SAM and am experiencing a "cover loss" when I run my initial simulation(see image).
I can find no information on a cover loss in SAM anywhere.
Just wonder what this loss is and where its coming from, also if possible can this loss be adjusted/reduced?
Thanks,
Shane.

Dear Shane,
We added the module "Cover" category in SAM 2018.11.11. In previous versions of SAM that loss was included in the "Module" category. Because of confusion, we renamed "Cover" to "Reflection (IAM)" in SAM 2018.11.11 r2.
The reflection loss represents solar energy lost due to reflection as it passes through the module cover.
Best regards,
Paul.
