I'm sure I read this somewhere, but curious about the difference between the day-look-ahead versus the day-look-behind dispatch model. I assume look-behind represents perfect dispatch versus look-ahead which is the algorithm's best guess at dispatch. And that the difference illustrates how well the day-ahead logic compares to perfection?
Thanks.

Dear Randy,
The one-day-look-ahead-peak-shaving strategy attempts to minimize today's grid power consumption based on load and weather data from the next day. The one-day-look-behind strategy uses data from the previous day. In both the look-ahead and look-behind case, the model is using load and weather data to make the dispatch decision, so the look-ahead approach does not involve a different best guess strategy.
Best regards,
Paul.
