Hi,

I wonder where I can get information on detailed offshore balance of system cost model inputs.
For example, there are inputs for cables under Assembly & Installation as listed below:
array_cable_loadout_for_installation 14
array_cable_pull_in_to_interfaces 5.5
cable_burial_rate 125
cable_landfall_dive_team_day_rate 3200
cable_landfall_winch_day_rate 1000
cable_pull_in_to_offshore_substation 48
cable_pull_in_to_onshore_infrastructure 96
cable_route_survey_cost 240
cable_surface_lay_rate 375
cable_termination_and_testing 5.5
export_cable_loadout_for_installation 24

what is the unit? which inputs apply for array cable and export cable? these kind of questions can be answered intuitively, but I would like to know whether written description is available as there are many more inputs.
I cannot find those from "NREL Offshore Balance-ofSystem Model" in this link www.nrel.gov/docs/fy17osti/66874.pdf

Dear Seyong,

I agree that the units for the wind off-shore balance of system model inputs are not well documented.

One place to look is in the variable table in the C++ source code, which starts around Line 85 in the GitHub repository:

github.com/NREL/ssc/blob/develop/ssc/cmod_wind_obos.cpp

Best regards,
Paul.
