Modeling CPV in SAM

On the Select technology section, there is no CPV, although in the sample project there is such an option. Kindly advise how to set up on CPV model.

SAM's CPV model is a relatively simple model compared to the flat-plate PV options. You should be able to find a description of the model in SAM's help system. Here's how to get started:

1. Start SAM and create a file with the PV component-based technology and a financing option appropriate for your analysis.

2. On the Module page, choose Concentrating PV Module from the list at the very top of the page.

You can also find CPV modules in the Sandia module database (choose Sandia PV Array Performance Model on the Module page). In SAM 2011.6.30, there is just one CPV module, which appears in the Module Name list as Entech 22X Concentrator.
