Electricity Rates effects was created by Nasserkaabi
Hello SAM Support,

In my PV residential design, I tried to set up the rates as follows:
- The rates are the same all the time, all the year (escalation rate of 15%)
- All generation and purchasing have the same rates
But
- The electricity bill is charged based on two segments (1-6000kwh = 0.05 c) (+6000kwh = 0.08 c) as of now

Would there be a way to account for this, or we just take an average rate? What do you recommend?

Hello,
That sounds like a tiered rate. You could define your energy charges like this:

Then, be sure to set the Period number for all hours and months in the weekday and weekend schedules to 1 (use your mouse to select the matrix, and then type a "1" on your keyboard.)

Best regards,

Paul.
