thermal storage for csp fluctuations was created by loubna
dear paul,
i am currently trying to design a CSP system with thermal storage. the results that SAM gave me are not coherent with the weather DATA. in other words in cold and cloudy months like January we have more energy that is put into storage than months with high temperature and high irradiance like August or July.
regards.

Hello,
The amount of energy in the field available to charge the storage system will depend on the size of the field. Be sure to optimize the field size for the amount of storage you want. The storage dispatch inputs determine the timing of energy into and out of storage, so be sure to set those so that storage energy is dispatched as you want it to be.
Please see the Webinars page for video recordings of demonstrations of modeling CSP systems.
