Collector heat removal factor

NEED HELP!!!!
What is collector heat removal factor?
And does the SAM parabolic trough physical model has this factor?

Hello,

That term may refer to the collector heat losses. For SAM's physical trough model, the heat loss parameters are defined on the Receivers (HCEs) input page. SAM reports the heat losses calculated during the simulation as "Field thermal power receiver loss (MWt)" and "Field thermal power avg. receiver loss (W/m)" in the time series results, which you can find on the Data Tables tab, Time Series tab and other tabs on the Results page.
