Noticed that when zeroing out PV costs in order to model battery only, that balance of system & install costs do not change. BOS/install for battery-only appear to perhaps become disproportionately large and ruin the economics/NPV that may in fact be economical for batt only?

Dear Randy,
You should change all of the cost inputs as appropriate for your system. SAM does not automatically change cost assumptions based on other inputs, so if you model a system with no PV array, you should assign BOS, installation labor, installer margin and overhead, and all other cost assupmtions appropriate for your system.
Best regards,
Paul.
