Federal Income Tax schedule (instead of flat rate) error

Sorry for my late reply. The data is correct in the 'Inputs and Outputs' sheet. It's the formulas in rows 108 and 115 in the 'Cash Flow' sheet that produce errors because they reference the 'federal_tax_rate' name and value in cell 'Inputs and Outputs'!B42 instead of the 'AnnualTaxFederal' name and values that are begin in cell 'Inputs and Outputs'!C103.

Thanks for your help!

Hello,

Thank you for the clarification -- that is a bug in the Cash Flow "send-to-Excel with equations" feature for the Residential and Commercial financial models. The bug only affects the spreadsheet formulas when you use an annual schedule for the state or federal income tax rate instead of a single fixed rate on the Financial Parameters input page. It does not affect SAM's internal calculations.

We will fix it in the next update to SAM 2017.9.5.

For now, you can fix your version of SAM as follows:
  1. If SAM is running, close it.
  2. In your SAM installation folder, find the
    Code:
    runtime/spreadsheets
folder. In Windows, the installation folder is
    Code:
    C:\SAM17.9.5
. For Mac, see Installation files on OS X .
  3. Download this version of residential_commercial.xlsx from the SAM GitHub repository.
  4. Replace the file in the SAM installation folder with the copy you downloaded.

Thank you for pointing out this issue, and for your patience explaining it to me!

Best regards,
Paul.

I tested today with SAM Version 2017.9.5, 64 bit, updated to revision 2, and the bug is fixed! Thanks!
