SamUL: how to write for a batch of sites using component baseline case was created by Mary Knipe
I have been able to successfully get results for batches of sites using SamUL and a PV Watts baseline case. I think I read or heard in a SAM webinar that it is possible to use a component baseline case with a script. If this is possible is there an example of the script and how to identify the module and inverter models on the input spreadsheet so that they are recoginized properly. What other inputs are needed to make this work?

Yes, you can use a SamUL script with any of the performance or financing models in SAM. To create a SamUL script for the component-based PV model, first create a case for the type of system you want to model. For example, create a case PV component / residential case. Then, create a new script (from the Tools menu). Use the function, input and output variable browsers (buttons in the taskbar) to find the variables you need.
Attached to your original post is an example showing how to set the PV model option (CEC, Sandia, etc.) and choose modules from the CEC library for a script that sizes a PV system.
Please refer to the Help topic on SamUL for more information and to the SamUL sample files (available from the File menu), and let me know if you have any other questions. If anyone else would like to share sample SamUL code, please feel free to post it here!
Best regards,
Paul.

I have been able to use the SamUL script provided above but how do I get a spreadsheet of different locations with module and inverter (specified and different in each case) as inputs to be processed using a base component case and output to a csv file? I am looking for kWh/year for each system. Could you provide a sample of something like that? If I were to make a text file of the module and inverter names how do I call from it?
