Minimum feedstock to run was created by Prosper Awuni
I am trying to calculate the energy output from a biomass power plant. I changed a few parameters for the input data but there seems to be something wrong since the simulation results doesn't give any details on the energy output and a lot of the other parameters. What should I consider changing. Attached is a copy of the simulation results.
Thank you.

Dear Prosper,
Can you tell me which parameters you changed? I cannot tell from the results what might be causing them.
If you don't mind, could you attach your .sam file to your original post above by editing it and then uploading the file?
Best regards,
Paul.

Dear Paul,
I have uploaded the .sam file labelled as Kenya Makindu.sam to my original posts. This was for the city of Makindu in Kenya with latitude -2.28 °N and longitude 37.83 °E. I input the values for rice and wheat straw only as my feedstock for the biomass plant since I don't have that much further information. This is what resulted in my initial results which isn't much. Upon putting in the same amount of biomass feedstock for the US city of Fargo with latitude 46.9 °N and longitude -96.8 °E, I did get some well defined results though. Do you have an idea why this is the case and could you please provide me some assistance on how to proceed? Thank you.

Dear Prosper,
Thank you for uploading your file.
The problem appears to be caused by relative humidity missing from the Makindu and other Kenya weather files in SAM's solar resource library.
You might consider modifying the file by adding a column with estimates of the relative humidity.
Best regards,
Paul.
