HX Approach Temp was created by pkulbeik
The Help screen mentions that if you are using the same HTF for the solar field and storage, then to set the HX approach temperatures on the storage page to 0 (zero).
I'm using SAM 2016.3.14 with solar salt on both sides and the HX approach temperatures are grayed out fields on the Storage page. I've attached a screen shot of the storage page. How do I change these?
The same problem occurs using User-defined HTF in both places.
Thanks,
Pam

Hi Pam,
In the latest versions of SAM, the user interface disables those inputs when you choose the same heat transfer fluid for the solar field and thermal energy storage system. SAM automatically ensures that the values of those inputs are correct, so you do not have to manually set them.
Best regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the clarification. You may want to add this to the list for HELP manual updates.
