SAM should be able to read TM2 files. See www.nrel.gov/analysis/sam/help/html-php/index.html?weather_format.htm
Kind Regards

Hello,
It is true that SAM can read weather files in the TMY2 (.tm2), TMY3 (.csv), and EPW (.epw) formats in addition to its own SAM CSV (.csv) format.
You can use the "Solar Resource File Converter" to convert from TMY2, TMY3 or EPW formats to SAM CSV. The macro only converts the data SAM uses from the original file, so it is a way to get a cleaner weather file. To use the macro, start SAM and create a PV or CSP case, and then click Macros at the bottom left of the main window to display a list of macros. To run the macro, click the "Run macro" button at the top of the window.
Best regards,
Paul.
