Adding a new wind turbine

Is it possible to add a small wind turbine? Thank you,

You can use SAM's library editor to add a small turbine. Please see the instructions on this post .

If you need help adding the turbine, please attach a copy of the turbine's power curve, along with its nameplate capacity and rotor diameter in a reply to this post, and I will create a library file for you.

Thanks Paul. The link doesn't seem to work. I read your instructions to add a turbine by going through the large wind section. Is this link the same?

Sorry about that Rick. I fixed the link, so it should work now. And, yes the link points to the instructions for adding a turbine to the large wind turbine library. You can use the same procedure to add a turbine to the small wind turbine library, "SAM/Small Scale Wind Turbine Library." It uses the SmallScaleWindTurbine library type.
