Data sets for snow depth in Canada was created by macdonaldtomw
Hi,

I'd like to use the snow losses calculator when building an energy model for a PV installation in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada using the Shearwater INTL weather station data drawn from "CWEC" database.

I understand that in order to do this, I need to use a weather data set that includes snow depth information. The data set that is available in SAM does not include snow depth data.

I am unable to find a data set that is small enough to open in Excel. Does anyone have any advice on how to incorporate snow depth data into the weather database that SAM is using in my model? Do I need to find someone with PowerPivot for Excel, Microsoft Access, or a MAMP setup to aggregate using SQL tools?

Is there any plan for SAM to include snow depth data in their future Nova Scotia data sets?
