Results deviation when PTC model is run in different computers was created by Croisfelt
SAM is outputting some different results for the same Parabolic Trough (physical) model when run in different computers:
- Lists of inputs compared on excel and 100% matching in both computers;
- Also TMY source file is the same;
- Some hourly output data gotten by each user were compared as well:
> Matching results: Field thermal power incident, Field thermal power incident after cosine, Field thermal power produced, Cycle electrical power output (gross);
> Results of deviation: Cycle electrical power output (net), Gross-to-net conversion, Annual energy, Capacity factor.
- We are running the on same SAM's version (2015.1.30, to validate old model before upgrading to the newest release);
- Computers settings are 32 and 64 bits;
- Windows' number formats set as 'English (United Sates)' in both computers.
Thank you in advance for helping us.

Hello,
How much difference are you seeing in those results between the two computers?
Best regards,
Paul.

Hello Paul,
They differ in ~5%. We tested in a third computer and the results were as mine. I think there some setup on my boss' computer that results in this deviation.
Sent more clarifications by e-mail.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Thiago
