Would you please let me know if it is possible to download a PV module data as a file to SAM? If yes, what should be the extension of the file and how can I do that? So far the only way I coulId find was to enter the data file in te CEC library and to do that there is a need to contact CEC directly; while I am only a simple user (student) and I guess it is not possible for me to do that.
For the CEC module model with user-entered specifications, you can use the Save data to file and Load data from file buttons to use text files to store data for modules you want to model. First, enter the data on the Module page, then, save it to a file. The next time you want to use that module in a project, you can load the data from the text file.
It is possible to edit the library files for the CEC and Sandia models, but the model input parameters for those models is not easily available. If you do have a complete set of a module's parameters for either the CEC or Sandia module model, you can add the module by editing the library file, as described under "How to Find Library CSV Files" on the
Libraries and Databases page
of this website.
