The equation in Help for the Physical Trough Thermal Storage calculated parameter "Exergetic Thermal Efficiency" in SAM 2016.3.14 is incorrect. The correct equation is:

We will correct the equation in the next update to SAM 2016.3.14.

Dear Joe,
That change was made to improve accuracy of the model.
Please see this Excel file ( XLSX 11 KB ) to see how SAM calculates the values of the storage volume, TES thermal capacity, and thermal storage exergetic efficiency values shown on the Physical Trough Thermal Storage input page.
