PV model with only GHI data?

I would like to model performance of a single-axis tracking PV system, but I only have GHI data available, with no breakdown between beam and diffuse components. In the past I have estimated beam and diffuse components by fitting this to a clear sky model, and then used those beam and diffuse components for photovoltaic calculations. However I would rather not have to do that. Is SAM able to work with only GHI data and then estimate the beam and diffuse components internally for PV analysis?
