thermal output of parabolic trough

is it possible to design a parabolic trough merging with an evacuated tube collector only to get the output thermal power?
what is prices of the different parabolic trough collectors? and the average thermal power output of each?

SAM's CSP models are designed to model electric power generation systems. However, for a description of one approach you can use to model a thermal process heat application using SAM's physical trough model, please see Turchi (2015) listed under "Physical Trough Model" on the Performance Model Documentation page.

The thermal output of a given system will depend on its design. You can use SAM to try different designs and see how much heat they generate.
