Parasitic Losses for PV

Hi I was trying to ascertain how SAM calculates parasitic loses for a PV plant. Under simulated Hourly Data there appears to be calculated 'Electricity from grid". Are these the parasitic loads and do they take into account energy required for panel tracking if selected and general connecting substation loads.

The Electricity from grid output is mostly the electricity that goes to the building load. SAM does not calculate electrical power consumption of tracking equipment or losses associated with grid interconnection, so you have to account for those as inputs on the Losses input page.
SAM does account for inverter self consumption and night-time consumption based on the inverter parameters, so you don't need to account for those losses separately.
